I was enchanted by the strong vibrant burgandy color of the peonies and the somewhat unique pattern of the design–haven’t seen another quite like it anywhere. The piece is marked by the artist on the bottom and also has the original tag with information on the work and price at the time, as well as the official red seal of authenticity issued back in those days. It’s in very good antique condition, with only a slight “maobing” or imperfection at the base as shown in the photographs, adding character to the art. It stands about ten inches tall and measures four inches in diameter. But she does relish life’s dichotomies! If any of Barbra’s “people” happen to see this listing, I would love to give it to her as a gift for all the gifts she has given me and to people around the world.
